About us
The Mental Fit Path was created by Mario Kozuh-Schneeberger in Austria during the COVID-19 pandemic. At a time when movement, connection, and mental strength were especially needed, concerns about psychological and social strain — particularly among children and adolescents — grew.
A response was needed — one that was accessible, inspiring, and playful. The vision was to create a path where people of all ages could strengthen both body and mind.
A bridge between elite sports and society
From the very beginning, the core idea was to create a “socio-political cycle of exchange.” We wanted to bring the valuable experiences and mental strategies of people who have learned to deal with pressure, setbacks, and challenges to the places where they are needed most: into the daily lives of children and young people.
The Mental Fit Path is a bridge. It connects the world of high-performance sports, art, and science with the education system and public spaces.

Ergebnis und Vision
What began in 2021 with the first installations grew rapidly. In the very first year, 200 paths were realized. Today, there are around 680 Mental Fit Paths in Austria.
More than 50,000 people have already been reached — in schools, on hiking trails, in youth centers, hospitals, and senior facilities. This success, driven by educators, communities, and partners, shows the enormous need for accessible initiatives that support mental health.
Mental health as a shared responsibility
We believe that mental strength emerges when people move, connect, and encourage one another.
The Mental Fit Path is a non-profit project that combines social impact with economic sustainability. Our funding model through sponsors and partners ensures that access remains free of charge for schools, clubs, and youth organizations.
We invite everyone to become part of this growing movement.
